Two new actors added to Director Ava Duvernay’s “Selma” Star-Studded Movie!

The highly anticipated biopic  “Selma” will chronicle King’s voting rights campaign of 1965! Indie Wire just reported Andre Holland and Tessa Thompson join the star-studded cast of ” Selma” directed by the uber talented  Ava Duvernay! Andre will play Andrew Young and Tessa will play Diane Nash .gestating Martin Luther King Jr. project ‘Selma.’ Carmen Ejogo is in talks to play Martin Luther King Jr.’s wife Coretta Scott King in the upcoming biopic Selma. David Oyelowo is set to play Martin Luther King Jr., with Tom Wilkinson starring as U.S. President Lyndon Johnson in this drama that details the 1965 march from Selma, Alabama to the state capitol of Montgomery where African-American citizens tried to secure their voting rights, only to be beaten back by the police. It took three attempts for the rally to get off the ground, because the marcher’s numbers kept increasing each time. Coretta Scott King, who married Martin Luther King Jr. in 1956, was a part of the march with her husband during the Selma Voting Rights Movement.

Oprah Winfrey is one of the producers for “Selma” as well as  Plan B’s Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, and Christian Coulson,. With Ms. Duvernay , Oprah and Brad Pitt & his team on board this movie is bound to be something legendary in Film history as the storyline and characters are already . There is no word yet on the release date or any production dates but we have been seeing via social media that the casting aspect of the filming has been moving forward.
